In this project, we undertook the task of transforming a heritage listed house in Flemington whilst maintaining the iconic 100+ year old house front. This project began with the careful demolition of the rear section of a heritage-listed home to pave the way for a remarkable change. The renovation included the construction of two luxurious bathrooms, a powder room, a functional laundry, a walk-in robe (WIR), a contemporary kitchen and living room, and a spacious garage.
For the new extension, we embraced a semi-industrial aesthetic with reclaimed brick and architecturally inspired elements. The new space now features a modern kitchen, a warm and inviting living and meals area, and an alfresco/outdoor entertainment zone seamlessly integrated into the design.
The existing house was thoughtfully updated to enhance its functionality and charm. Upgrades included a new walk-in robe (WIR) and a fully equipped ensuite for the master suite, the addition of a sleek powder room, a full internal repaint, and beautiful polish of the existing floors to bring their character back to life.
This project showcases the perfect balance between preserving heritage character and introducing modern elegance, creating a home that honours its history while meeting contemporary needs.
